Good Bye Seattle P-I

After 145 years the Seattle P-I will no longer be in print form as it goes to web-only.
It seems like they're dropping like flies all over the country. Major city newspapers are shutting down left and right. The Miami Herald, Chicago Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle and the Cincinnati Post just to name a few. I just hope the Seattle P-I keep their iconic "Globe" sign for all to enjoy.

Reuters.com Photos

Last month we had some pretty bad weather here in the Pacific Northwest with flooding all around western Washington. I was able to snap a few shots of the destructive aftermath in Snoqualmie, WA east of Seattle. I was thinking maybe they might be news worthy and sent a couple of images to the Reuters News Agency. To my suprise they posted them on their website. They were'nt really the ones I would have picked first for publication but it's better than nothing I guess.

A break in the weather

Yesterday we had a nice little break in the weather. Well, at least not as cold as it's been latley. I decided to head down to Woodland Park to catch some of the mountain bike guys getting some air on the park jumps. Here's Kyle Coen honing his skills.

Another one bites the dust

The U.S. economic situation took another victim here in Seattle. After being the first Honda motorcycle dealership in the USA and in business for 50 years.....University Honda-Yamaha had to finally shut it's doors. The last true bike "shop" in the Seattle will be missed by all.

Here are some photos I took saturday night as everyone got together for a few drinks and to share stories. Thanks for all the wonderful memories ! !
